With the latest enhancements in Season 5, the Vanguard version of the PPSh has risen to prominence in Warzone. Ean ‘FaZe Booya’ Chase provides a deep dive into the most effective non-ADS PPSh configuration.

The PPSh submachine gun from Vanguard has come into the spotlight in the last season of Warzone Pacific. Adopting a “better late than never” attitude, FaZe Booya endorses the PPSh as a dominant choice for close-range combat in the small-scale environments of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep in Season 5.

Maneuvering with a hip-fire focused SMG build might feel unfamiliar at first, but once you have adapted to its distinctive playstyle, you’ll be able to dodge and weave past opponents effortlessly in the close confines of Warzone’s condensed maps.

The Season 5 update made the PPSh more powerful, particularly with the improved 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mags, which now come without a damage decrease and boast an extended damage range, rendering them an indispensable addition to the PPSh build.

This hip-fire oriented PPSh configuration should be exclusively utilized in close-range skirmishes as it eschews the need for aiming down sights, making the SMG formidably difficult to counter. FaZe Booya supplements this PPSh setup with a Kar98k, augmenting his tactical flexibility on Rebirth Island.

FaZe Booya’s Preferred Warzone PPSh for Hip-Firing

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Kovalevskaya 230mm B03P
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
  • Perk 1: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Quick

The core objective of these select add-ons is to amplify the gun’s firing velocity and precision when shooting from the hip. Notably, the Kovalevskaya 230mm B03P barrel is the cornerstone of the setup, enhancing hip-fire precision, recovery from hip-fire recoil, and firing speed.

The inclusion of the Recoil Booster and the 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mags compounds the impressive firing speed of the PPSh. On the other hand, the Removed Stock and Quick attachments are pivotal for swift movement as you weave through adversaries with your hip-fire assault.

Although a rapid-fire rate and remarkable agility are the hallmarks of this loadout, controlling recoil is essential for ensuring your hip-fired bullets strike true. The Tight Grip and Pine Tar Grip allow for precise shooting using the crosshair.
