PlayStation enthusiasts had a feast this month with the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coupled with some fresh additions to PlayStation Plus for October. While Sony has not yet disclosed what is next in line for the subscription-based library, we do know the launch date for the free PlayStation Plus games in November 2023. Moreover, there are indications that an RPG may be in the mix.

Gamers have been on their toes in October and the momentum does not seem to be slowing in November. Gamers eagerly await the early access release of MW3 and the launch of Football Manager 2024. Xbox owners have a number of huge day-one releases for Xbox Game Pass November 2023 to look forward to.

Microsoft has already partly confirmed what’s to come, on the other hand, Sony will be making similar announcements in the near future.

PlayStation Plus November 2023 Free Games Launch Date

The confirmed launch date for the free PlayStation Plus games in November 2023 is November 7th, as per the PlayStation Blog post that advertises the freebies for October 2023. The current offers, including Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22, and Weird West, are ending on November 6th, with the next set of giveaways slated for the following day.

This is a change from the usual as the release date indicates that the November giveaways will arrive in the second week of the month instead of the first. It’s different, but players will still have enough time to claim the Essential offers before they end. Sony has not yet announced the early Christmas gifts, but the reveal is anticipated on November 1st.

Though we’re unsure about new additions to the subscription library coming in November, we know the following games will be leaving both PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium:

    • My Time at Portia
    • Ace of Seafood
    • Giana Sister’s Twisted Dream Director’s Cut
    • Wild Guns Reloaded
    • Dandara
    • Connectank
    • Momodara Reverie Under the Moonlight

    Speculations

November 2023 PlayStation Plus predictions hint at the possibility of an RPG. As per kabirsingh84’s note on Reddit, November has typically been RPG month for PlayStation Plus. Looking at the historical data since 2019, at least one RPG has been offered as an Essential freebie every November:

    • Nioh – 2019
    • Middle-Earth Shadow of War – 2020
    • Kingdoms of Amular Re-Reckoning – 2021
    • Nioh – 2022

If Sony continues this pattern, we might see another RPG for November 2023. Though it is not confirmed as of now and no leaks have surfaced, there are no hints about which RPG might be added. In the discussion threads of Reddit, some are suggesting that we might get Marvel’s Midnight Suns, which was released in December 2022. This would be an interesting addition as this Marvel game didn’t receive as much acclaim as it deserved when compared to the critical response to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
