The gaming company 2K has officially announced that Devin Booker will be the face of NBA 2K23 as the main cover athlete, sharing the spotlight with the legendary Michael Jordan who will feature on a special variant of the cover.

Leading the backcourt for the Phoenix Suns as their shooting guard, Booker’s visage will grace the Standard Edition as well as the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.

Devin Booker expressed his elation about joining the ranks of renowned athletes on the game’s cover, stating:

“Growing up as a passionate NBA 2K player, I can hardly believe that I’ve reached the point of being a part of this elite group of basketball legends who have also been chosen as cover stars for the game.

Continuing to express his gratitude, Booker acknowledged his esteemed cover companions:

“It’s a privilege to be associated with the legendary Michael Jordan on this year’s covers, a player who revolutionized basketball for future generations. Moreover, the opportunity to be featured alongside WNBA greats such as Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird, who have vastly influenced the sport, is incredibly special to me.”

Booker refers to WNBA icons Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird, who are celebrated on a WNBA Edition available exclusively at GameStop.

For those who share a passion for NBA 2K, you might be interested in my insights about the game that has become a major part of my life. Reflecting on the evolution and challenges of this longstanding franchise, I observed:

“Being a yearly consumer and devoted player of NBA 2K, I find myself in a unique situation—consistently and predominantly content within this sole-provider setup. The franchise has become a dominant powerhouse, evolving its gameplay at a leisurely pace, akin to a reigning champion without rivals.”

Set for release on September 9th, NBA 2K23 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
